Job Responsibilities:
- Assist project managers and engineers with preparing technical reports, specifications, design and contract documents including technical and other project specifications
- Provide technical writing input to proposals and deliverables.
- Gathers and maintains specified records of engineering data such as tests and drawings
- Participation in the preliminary and detailed design of civil infrastructural development and transit projects.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques using judgment in finding solutions to complex problems.
- Engage in site visits overseeing the delivery of the projects.

- Provide support on business development, inputting to proposals preparation.
- Preparation of engineering work plans, specifications, calculations, and drawings.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed university;

The primary purpose of the position is to:
- To work for day-to-day administration and office management of the project.
- Attend visitors and organize and maintain schedule of meetings.
- Assist Team Leaders in implementation of projects in accordance with SMEC’s BMS, Project Management Guide.
- Assist Team Leaders in managing projects in accordance with SMEC’s financial procedures and project budget.
- Assist Project Manager/Team Leader and project accountant in preparing and submission of invoices and follow up invoice collection.
- To ensure timely submission of project accounts.
- Create and maintain proper working condition and environment.
- Maintain Safety and security of the office and staffs.
- Maintain employee database, expatriates movement schedule and leave record.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of office premises.
- Prepare and process stationery and materials requisition.
- Maintenance of office equipment, furniture, vehicle minor maintenance and communication system.
- Arrange Domestic travel for project staffs. International travel for management and expatriate, if necessary.
- Coordinate transports allocation and control fuel consumption.
- Prepare and timely submission of monthly vehicle operation statement.
- Maintain attendance register, personnel and technical files and Technical Library.
- Manage library facility to provide flexible access to the resources at the point of need, maintain and control library materials in and out
- Control of receive & dispatch letters/documents and maintain document register following Document and Record Management System.
- Maintain document scanning (as required) and store in appropriate electronic file/folder.
- Assist to purchase office equipment/furniture and purchase office stationery and computer consumables.
- Assist corporate administration in organizing Visa, Security Clarence, Work Permit and other related documents as necessary.
- Assist to establish Project Guest House (PHG) and assist in maintenance, operation and control.
- Supervise project support staffs tasks and activities.
- Work to maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) and OH&S procedures.
